We appreciate your patience as we work through what is going to be best and safest for the families and kids we serve, our staff, and the community during this time. We will continue to closely monitor the recommendations of the CDC and will adjust accordingly as needed. We will make sure that we have updated information posted on the website and our social media as things progress. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns at email@example.com.
Office hours and meetings: We will be closing the office until we feel safe to be back in person. This means that any meeting that would typically be held at the office, will continue to be held via an online option. We have the capability to host Zoom calls so we will be utilizing this tool as needed. There will be someone in the office at least once per week for a few hours to check messages and incoming mail.
Home Studies/Licensing: We will continue to license new families, provide home study updates, and attend any necessary home visits involved in a foster family making changes to their home (ie. move, modifying licenses, etc.). These “visits” will all be conducted over Zoom or another online platform until we are given the approval by the state to conduct in-person home visits. We will be holding a Zoom call as an alternative to the in-person Intro Class that we host every few months so that we can continue to provide the opportunity for the community to learn more about our agency. Also, we plan on continuing to accept placement referrals from Homefinders at DCYF.
Trainings: Stay tuned for more details on how our TBRI trainings will look over the coming weeks. The required CCT training provided by Alliance is currently only offered online.
Support: We have moved our ACHS Support group to an online format. These will start up again in the Fall 2020. Our Case Managers are all working from home but still available for support as needed.
Fundraisers: We have made the decision to postpone our Fall Benefit Concert with Britt Nicole to the Spring of 2021. With that, we also have decided to host the Hope for Families Campaign which will be an opportunity to learn more about ACHS and donate to the campaign….more details to come!
